American Airlines Fort Worth Texas
Vince Canini | Network Planning Analyst |American Airlines
Currently, I work in Network Planning at American Airlines under the Intermediate Schedules team. I am based at the American Airlines Headquarters in Forth Worth, Texas. My current focus is the Philadelphia Hub and will soon be transitioning over to the Chicago Hub. Under the Intermediate Schedules team, I am tasked with building a seven-day flight schedule of aircraft flows. While building the seven-day schedule, I am in charge of how flights will flow on our aircraft each day of the week. The flows are based on a banking structure that has flights arriving in certain windows of time in order to for passengers to meet connections in the hub. I am tasked with making sure that our passengers have connection options, but making sure our hub and spokes are given enough time to make the operation feasible and profitable. I also work with a group of planners that layout markets that need to go on certain aircraft in order to maximize revenue for the airline. This job involves working with our Maintenance Team, Regional Partners, Spokes and Hubs in order to create a feasible and profitable operation. The position comes with a lot of challenges and responsibilities, but my Kent State education and internship backgrounds have disciplined me in order to handle these tasks and challenges. I can honestly say, that I love my job and enjoy coming to work at American.

Bismarck Municipal Airport InterN
|
Wen-Yen (Vincent) Huang, ACE, PPL
For the year 2022, I am the airport operations intern at Bismarck Airport. Graduated from CWU in 2022 with a degree in Aviation Management, an ACE Airfield Operations Certificate, and a Private Pilot License. Here at Bismarck Airport, I was able to study both the operational and administrative aspects of airport administration. I am a duty agent for airport operations. During my shift, I perform airport inspections, maintenance on airfield signs and lights, wildlife mitigation using pyrotechnics, and surface conditions reporting with the Bowmonk Brake Tester. On the administrative side, I produce commercial operating licenses, seek for state grants, update and distribute the Airport Certification Manual, and apply for wildlife depredation permits. I'm still in search of an airport that sponsors visas since I'd like to stay in the airport industry. If that does not work out, I intend to continue my flying career and become an airline pilot. A fantastic internship program at Bismarck International Airport! I definitely suggest coming. |
